Boy or girl

If the snake is a neonate then they can easily be popped. If an older snake, it can be probed using stainless steel probed available from many herp product sites on the web
 
There are three ways to sex a snake. 1. popping the snake. This will pop the hemipenes if it is a male. Only person experienced with popping should do this. 2. Have the snake probed. This will show male or female. Only experienced persons should do this. 3. This is not as reliable as 1 or 2 but comparing tails. The males tail slowly tapers to a point. The females will taper more quickly. 4. this one is not quite as reliable as the other three but here it is count the scales on a shed. <130 female, 130 to 140 hard to tell,

Just to emphasise that this s a count btween the tip of the tail and the vent (bum)
