QUICK QUESTION - for Shippers

I just sent a grown snake back to it's original owner.

I realized when I got home - the heat pack is a uni-heat 40 hour and I accidentally put the RED strip up taped to the styrofoam top in the box.

Will he be ok? I have newspaper in between.

Will it get too hot? If I get an answer I might be able to call Fed Ex and stop him from going out tonight.

thanks!

I just read that it will cool. Should I hurry and call Fed ex? my low temp is around 38 tonight and he's going to Em in NC.

ok, I have paper in between the heat pack taped wrongside up and the snake who is in a pillowcase. I just don't want him to get too cold now! It should say that on the stupid instruction part, not the NOTES part of the instructions. Darn it. I'll die if anything happens to him.

What's the low in Memphis? I doubt it will fail to heat completely. And it's a big adult, and you're over freezing. He'll be inside at your FedEx till he leaves, right?

I better call Fed Ex. I dropped him at a Fed Ex pickup place. I'll call them now to be sure he will be taken off of the truck, I would think so bc he's going overnight but I'll call. I'm worrying really bad now.

He's going to Greensboro, NC - low tonight is 38, just like mine. No one is answering at FedEx, but certainly they would unload the pick up truck to get the stuff going overnight on the way. It sounds like he'll be ok.

Not happy with this and the way it's not bold or something on the back of the wrapper. I did everything else right. I am slapping myself now for not thinking more about the red line.

He's not going to memphis, - it's greensboro NC. Their temps look just like mine in Indiana. I think he'll be ok. I'll be glad when I hear from Em though, I've messaged her as well to tell her. He should be out in the box no longer than 15-1/2 hours. I dropped him off at 5 pm, as late as the pick up was.

Most shipment are held over in Memphis. That is why it is important to monitor Memphis temps as well as yours and the destination.

Oh, ok. I didn't know that, I wondered where Memphis came into the pic! I think then, that he will be fine but I'll still worry until I hear from her.

Thank you guys!

Even if you had done everything by the book you would still have worried. It is going to be a long night but it will be a great sigh of relief when you do hear from her that he is ok.

well, he was delivered 2 hours ago, waiting to hear from Em! i'm sure he was fine. I think they held him in Indy though.

I'll definitely ask her whether the box felt warm at all, or if it was totally cool. I feel like emailing that company and telling them they should put that up in the directions, vs in the Notes. It upsets me that I didn't see that until it was too late.

one you sold? or a new one for you? I won't be shipping anymore snakes though so that's good. Still anxiously waiting to hear from Em.
