Hi all,

When my snake is in it's hide is it a bad idea for me to take a peak at it? The last thing I want to do is make it feel like I am invading it's "personal hiding space". Of course this is done at a small distance. When I do take a look into the snakes hide, it notices me but does not seem afraid at all. It will move it's head to take a look at me but never backed up as if it feel frightened. I've only had it for a little over a week now. Maybe it is becoming adjusted to seeing me? Either way, advice would be appreciated.

As long as you don't do it all the time, it will be alright to sneak a peek.

If you give it time and privacy, eventually you will notice your snake poking its head out of its hide sneaking a peek at you.

Ok Thanks for pointing that out. I've noticed it continously doing just that. The snake will have it's body completely covered in it's hide but the snake will poke it's little head out and stare at me. (My computer isn't located too far from it's viv) Maybe the snake is the one invading my personal space! hahaha :) thanks Rich.
 
Yeah, I can only get my guy out for feedings or just to hang out, by lifting his hide!I let him smell my hand first and then scoop him up and he never seems to mind.It's usually harder to get him to let go when I try to put him back!!!!:)
