quick regurge question...

Ramses has started eating fuzzies. He had a regurge a couple of days ago. He is fed on Tuesdays and regurged on Sunday. Did he not digest all the way? He also pooped after so I am thinking he might be starting the shed cycle? He is due to eat tonigh so I was going to feed him a couple of pinkies instead of the fuzzy..making sure he gets some food but cutting the meal size down for a couple of feedings so he wont regurge. Could it be that he is just getting used to the bigger meals ? Thanks for any and all advice
 
I make sure the temps are good and humidity is good as well...when he sheds its always a complete shed and he never refuses food, he has a great food response
 
NO. Do not feed him. He needs to go 8-10 days without a feeding to recover from the regurge. Then feed a prey item half the size he regurged. Cut slits in the back of it. If that stays down okay, very, very gradually increase the prey size back up to what he should be eating for his size. It is strongly recommended to obtain Nutribac probiotics to replenish his gut flora, and put that on all his meals for the next several months.

Feeding while the snake is going into, in, or right after the blue period is my number one cause of regurges here. Prey size a bit too large is probably the next most common reason, for me.
 
Thank you. I wont feed him this week, I will wait til next Wed or Thursday.. I will feed him a pinkie and then the next week two and so on to gradually increase til he is back to normal. Thank you again. Draco was in shed when he regurged so Iam assuming Ramses is as well. He is dulling out good and hiding alot. Heard the shed cycle can take two weeks total to complete. I am assuming I can get the probiotics at the pet store or online?
