Rat breeding trial results.

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
Besides our collection of snakes we also have a small collection of rats as well to help supliment our feeding costs. We decided that we would play with some rat genetics while we have them as well. We started a few months ago to see what we could get. We bred a Jumbo Curley Haired to a Normal brown rat then later took one of them babies and bred it to our Blue Hooded Dumbo. Well the result was this. We got a few Black Hooded Curley Haired Dumbos possibly Jumbo. We will have to see how they grow. Well here is a picture of one of them. Rat genetics are cool because you get such a fast turn around. Thanks for looking.

That has to be the ugliest and cutest thing at the same time that I've ever seen.

I don't believe there is a gene for "Jumbo", though there may be selevtively bred lines that grow larger.
