Although this might not be correct I think that rat pups are very fatty so mice are better. Fully grown rats are no where near as fatty but you would need a very large corn to manage one.
I think that this is correct but it is probably better that you wait on someone who is more experienced to answer.

Actually it looks as though the fat content percentage is about the same. Though from this (http://www.rodentpro.com/qpage_articles_03.asp) rats look a bit better.
