Rattling tail

Hello, today when i opened the door to ruby's tank she started shaking her tail and it was vibrating! she has never done this before! has anyone ever experienced this with there corns before and is this a kind of warning sign? perhaps she was scared as i did stick my head in her tank to see if it smelt ok lol

Tail rattling is not uncommon if corns are startled. Some do it a lot, especially when they're young. Some grow out of it. Some never do it at all, and some are determined to convince everything and everyone around them that they're rattlesnakes in disguise.

Perfectly normal behavior. Don't worry about it.

I have a few tail rattlers. Nothing to be alarmed at. It's a natural defense strategy to warn off predators.

i second that one of my corns always rattles her tail the other never does it its nothing to worry about u probably just scared her thtas all !

Both of mine did this at first if I even so much as walked past the cage or the dogs past by. Now they don't even move when I walk by and could care less who or what is in the room.

We've only had ours a few weeks and she's done it a couple of times - I'm sure it was just because we woke her up suddenly. She just had a really kind of shocked look about her, and off went the tail - very cute! Of course, we then promptly let her go back to sleep! :)

I have a phantom that does it everytime I pass his enclosure, But thats as far as his mean spiritness goes.
