Ravaging Rosy--he wants to eat me!

My teeny rosy boa has become a biting machine. Everytime I get him out he either snaps at me or outright bites me. The first time he bit me I thought it was because it was feeding time, but he has taken to doing it EVERY time. He spills his water all the time, so I am getting bitten a lot.

Any tips on calming my rosy down? He is drawing blood every time, though it doesn't hurt so much. I try to keep holding him after he has bit me, but he just keeps trying to bite more. The only way I can keep him from continuously biting me is to hold him sort of dangling between a few loose fingers away from my fingers and hands, and even then if he sees a finger it is toast. He also snaps at his water bowl and anything that passes in front of his face.

He sounds hungry. Feed more/more often? My tri-color hoggy went through that phase, but grew out of it. I feed Noah the BOA with tongs. Every once in a while I'll not bother, and am then reminded quickly why I feed her with tongs...She is harmless up until she smells mouse, though.

That sounds like a good idea--he just ate monday so I don't know he is super hungry right now. But I think in general he needs to eat more often, but he is a sometimes pita eater that it is uneven when he eats.
