so here goes, can i refreeze mice that i previously defrosted from frozen, ie i defrosted and they get refused, can i put them back in the freezer to be reused later, im on a bit of a budget and id like to save them if i could, but i dont want to risk the snakes health so if the answers no then theyll get binned :)

I do not think you can freeze them but you can put them in the refrigerator for another day or so.
Somebody more senior please correct me if I am wrong.

Well Don't re-freeze them. Do that and you'll have a higher chance of freezer burn. No point doing that now is there. So its just eazier if you want to use it a few days from now to put it in a ziploc bag with no air in it. that last roughly 5-6 days for sure. wlel in the coolest part of your fridge.

re fridge etc

thankyou both for ur quick replys, so if the f/t gets refused i can bag it and put it in the fridge for up to 5 days or so and warm it up again (i use warm water) for re-feeding, have i got it right?

Once they have been thawed they should not be frozen i would also say that they should be tossed.

Once they are thawed the decomposition process will start to begine.
Being basically raw meat they start to go bad quit rapidly.
The inner organs start to go first and will spoil the rest of the mouse or rat

Dont risk it
