Really confused

Ok , I tried to feed last night...
Left the snake in a small contaner overnight with 2 pinkies which i had sliced the heads so brain was exposed..

I have done everything mentioned and have not handled for 4 days...

Ive just woke up and went to check on the container....

1 snake and 2 pinkies :bang: :shrugs: :cry:

if you want to try a live pink I've got some squeakers in the nest, no guaratee but it does seem to work to kick start the feeding response
 
Thanks for offer diamondlil , Much appreciated but have noticed that your in Kent and im in Staines... Also i dont drive so probably a bit too far .. :(

I might have to try and get 1 or 2 from somewhere though..Any ideas?

I dont know of anybody that has mice :shrugs:

Most UK pet shops would refuse to sell mice for feeding purposes, but you could go get a trio for breeding, or go to the shop you got your snake, pick a quiet moment and ask if they can help you get a live one. I wish I'd realised your dilemma, was up crystal palace yesterday getting my new snake, could have met at Victoria (I don't drive either) and given you a pink.
(I've said this before, and I'll say it again.........just in case anyone objects, live feeding is not illeagle in UK, as long as it's not done in public, and not just for entertainment)
 
PureNightAir : My local pet shop refuse to sell me mice because they know i own snakes hahaha so im a bit stuck there..

Diamonlil : Never mind :) Ive contacted the person i got it from and cant get hold of them but i have left a message saying if i cant get it feeding within a week im returning it as im not paying £50 for a non feeder ...
I actually know the guy too :twoguns:

I did think about breeding but its been 2 weeks that i know of that it hasnt eaten so time be an issue here soon too and i dont know if can get mice to produce fast enough .. :shrugs:

Sorry, just that the shop i got mine from has offered to get hold of some if he didn't eat. Wouldn't be able to due to guilty feelings, but they were offering full support.
 
PureNightAir : Sounds like you have a good supplier there.. My other local might sell some but they know the snake i got from them is feeding np ...

:-offtopic This is so frustrating, the fluffy bunny crowd make snake-keeping here so much harder. I actually got threatened with being reported to the police and rspca when I said I was going to have to try live feeding. My local (non-reptile selling) petshop are sympathetic because one of the owners had a ball python that went on hunger strike and died, but it's not an open, acceptable part of reptile husbandry over here. If you change your mind and want to get the train down to get a pinky, just let me know

I always tell my girlfriend that the bunnies part in the food chain is food for pythons hahaha :p

Well after 2 weeks and 4 days i was starting to think no go ..non starter and i might have to take the little guy back as id never actually seen it eat..

Tried yet again last night with a pinkie...I slit his head open exposing brain matter etc and put a couple of pin pricks in the body to try and enhance the smell more ..Left the 2 of them in a small container overnight in a warm dark place...

Woke up this morning to find my non eating 6 week old with a big lump in its belly :cheers: :cheers:

Im such a happy man now after 2 1/2 weeks of worry there seems to be no problems atall...Maybe i didnt need to brain the pinkie etc but its eaten and thats the main thing right ? :grin01:

Thanks to all those people who have posted here with suggestions and thoughts ..You have all helped me a great deal..
