REALLY Cool Feeding Pictures...

i think its great that shes feeding her snakes anoles- wat ever works really and as she said before shes making sure that everything is safe and that her snake doesnt get hurt, so worry about her feeding like shouldnt be an issue- we shoud worry more about ppl that feed live because they like a show or they dont care for their snake. but just my 2cents

I agree...I take every precaution I can when feeding anoles and so far it has worked well.

Really cool photos. I have never seen any like that before, clearly you can tell why. Most of the members on here have found, through many years of owning snakes, that mice and rats are the way to go. People having been doing this for countless years and so far there has been no ill effect. While I am sure that you may have felt under attack for a bit I promise that the members of this site are only trying to help. We all keep the health and well being of the snake first. We have seen many photos where snakes have been attacked by their prey and it makes us a little jumpy when people say they feed live. However I cant say I have ever seen a picture from a snake that was attacked by an anole. Im sure other members have so I cant speak to how bad it may be if it were to happen. The tape thing is a little bothersome, the risk of something happening if you were unable to remove it in time is high. To high for most of us. Humans make mistakes and you may not be able to remove it in time. Just a thought. We want every snake to live a happy life. If the main diet is mice then there is no problem throwing in a treat just as long as she does not decide to only eat the anoles which is another risk you are taking. If you are ok with all of the risks that you are taking then more power to you, I know that I would not want to risk the health of my snakes at all.

Why not breed mice?
