Recommendations?

Corns, corns n more corns
So right now my viv has a water bowl on the cold side, and one hide on each of the sides, warm, and cold side, and of course and UTH, so i was just wondering, what type of fake plant, or branch do you guys recommend for the viv, and if you guys could post a link or something for a recommendation, could you also post WHERE you would recommend to place the object,

Thanks!

I bought all of my fake plants at Hobby Lobby and the dollar store. It saves a bunch of money and the plants are usually better (and wayyyyy cheaper) than you will find in pet stores. When I decorated my corn's cage I had a big fake bush in one corner with a broken ceramic pot under it, so he had a hide under the bush. There were also sticks (which I found at the park) that lead up towards the top of the cage and across the cage. I also had vines along the back side of the cage and several hides along the other side and the water bowl in the middle.

So, plants- hobby lobby or other craft stores/dollar store
Branches/rocks- the park!
It's a great way to save money and everything look great :)

Wow! Thanks a lot, would have cost a pretty penny to buy all that stuff from Petco, I'll make sure to check the woods near my house, and check out the park for some decorations, also, would I have to clean the decorations that I find from the outside? If so, what should I clean them with?

Yep, it is recommended that you either bake them in the oven, or if they're too big, soak them overnight in the bathtub with a 1 to 10 bleach/water ratio. So one gallon bleach to ten gallons of water. If you do go that route though, just make sure you rise them off well with hot water so neutralize the bleach and then let them dry out.

Honestly though... I just washed mine off with soap and water and scrubbed them really hard so that all the crud came off. :duck:
It is considered a risk, I know that! But none of my snakes or lizard have shown adverse affects.

Thanks a lot, I'll make sure to remember the ratio for bleach to water, I'll do that or the baking,

Thanks a lot,

If you buy your fake plants from Michael's or the dollar store, try to get the kind that don't have metal wires inside them (to make them bendable); the wires tend to stick out. Or, you could use hot glue or silicone or something to cover over the wire. I put vines on the floor of the viv, but most of my snakes ignore them there. They like to climb in the ones I suction cupped to the side of the tank. I attached the suction cups with hot glue. Have fun!
