Don't worry wade, I got the funny. ;)

(I couldn't figure out a way to fit other Americanised words into here so ill just give you a list and let you guys do the work of making a punchline for me.)

Side walk, trash can, tomato (Tomayto tomarto), Boot, Hood, vacation, WAD OF DOLLAR! , etc etc etc.

actually.. im kinda learning about this stuff.. haha

for us to see a red/blue tub, the red and blue wavelengths of light are being reflected every other one is being absorbed. so, im not sure if the other wavelengths will go through the tub or not, but as for the tub being red or blue that means that the red or blue colors are being reflected. so... thats as much as i know, not sure if the other wavelengths would go all the way through or not.

That is how we see the colour of the tub, not how the snake inside sees the light passing through it... Just got an A* on my Physics GCSE ..

I'm wandering off topic now so i'll stop

American to English Translation . . .
Side Walk . . . Path
Diaper . . . Nappy
Trash Can . . . Bin
Ketchup . . . Red Sauce (Well .. most brits call it red sauce, but I call it ketchup :p)
Trunk (On a Car) . . . Boot
Hood . . . Bonet (Bonnet) ?
Vacation . . . Holiday

I did that purely because I am bored

I think it is OK for you guys to talk funny if you like as long are you understand that it is wrong.

Okay, I know I'm late on this, but here's my line of thinking:
The tubs were not made to be light filters. They will probably not filter efficiently enough to negate all other colors of light, some different wavelengths will still come through.

Ketchup . . . Red Sauce (Well .. most brits call it red sauce, but I call it ketchup :p)
we call it tomato sauce. hmmm kinda to the point.lol

Im gonna do some research this weekend about the way snakes see light - Its been bothering me. I'll post my findings when i find them

Ketchup . . . Red Sauce (Well .. most brits call it red sauce, but I call it ketchup :p)

I've only ever heard 2 people call it red sauce, in my entire life time. It's tomato sauce (most common) or tomato ketchup.

Yeah, we're wierd because we use the language that was originally developed, not the new, mutated version...
