Regular light bulb okay for amels as heat source?

Corn snakes are not basking snakes. They actually prefer belly-heat so an under-the-tank heatmat is a much better idea, and then the question of the sensitivity of their eyesight doesn't even come into play. Just be sure to get a thermostat for the heatmat as they can get quite hot.

Thanks. I was worried about the eyes and the sensitivity of their skin I've had my female amel under a heat pad since since I've had her(she was a CL rescue) but recently moved her to a new tank that's too large for the small 10-20 gallon pad that I was using. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the pet store tomorrow for a new pad.
