i know this is a pretty broad question. but my guy has regurged a couple times lately, and through the process of helping overcome this(following kathy's steps) i have came up with a question. GENERALLY, how long does it take a baby cornsnake to get past the stage of regurging? Like if i fed him Monday, and there is no noticeable lump; does that mean a regurge is probably not going to happen? since its been like 5 days? or can they regurge for up to a week later? now, i know every snake prolly digests its food within a couple days. but is there any way to be sure that he wont regurge, like is there a no turning back point? I am sorry for the terrible explanation.
 
Well I think that as long as they're food still in the stomach, then a regurge is possible.
My snake is in the process overcoming future regurges right now. When he did regurge, it was on a tuesday, and he ate on a saturday. And he had made a noticeable poop on monday, But stll managed to suffer a regurge on tuesday. It was more digested and so didn't smell much at all - Until moved!
 
that was very helpful actually. i know that it was a pretty silly question. Like you said, your guy ate, pooped, and then still regurged. I am just very anxious to get my guy back in non-regurge mode. It has really been bugging me lately. So i hope this one stays down!
 
I fed him thursday night, and it is now saturday morning. Usually he regurges by now. I think i have solved the problem peoples! *fingers crossed*
 
i spoke too soon; snape just regurged his mouse again for about the 4th time in a month and a half. i dont understand him. his temps are PERFECT. his cage is clean. he has 2 hides, one on both sides of his viv. BUT his back end looks a little swollen though; like his bum portion is way bigger than the rest of him. It appears to be swollen kind of, and has been like that for at least 2 weeks. Its almost like the food tries to go past that one point, and cant so he regurges it. Any help people? i have been doing kathys steps on how to stop regurging but its just not working.
 
he's probably constapated. try giving him a bath. and moving and crawling over you. this usually relaxes him "lower end" and then he'll defecate. if you know what I mean.
 
really? do you actually think that could be the problem? I have seen him defacate in his cage since all of this. It's about the 3 inches above his vent that seem to be swollen...He just wont keep any mice down regardless of the size. I have tried Grapefruit seed extract also in his water, and apparently that didnt help either.
 
I'd say a trip to the vet is recommended at this point. He may have a parasite or something.
 
i personally dont think its an impaction...maybe though. I am going to take him to the vet this week for sure.
