I'd say give him a chance too.
He is a newbie and might not know where to post his questions or comments so I would guess that it's okay for a couple of times...
more than that....maybe you should..
 
This doesn't pertain to viper101 specifically, and I'm not pointing a finger at anyone, but what can one do if he/she feels that a member's posts are pointless and/or just plain annoying? I occasionally get slightly irritated by some people's threads/posts (I can't find any of his truly annoying threads, but for the sake of an example: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=1791)
I'm certainly not going to PM the person and be like,"Excuse me, your posts are annoying. Can you go away?" So, what could I do in a situation like that other than not read the thread? Report the thread/person to Rich? I'm sure he's busy enough without chasing down annoying posters. Be nice and ignore it?

You can speak to said individual. Ignore the thread. Ask Rich to talk to him. Unless Rich assigns assistants to the board, then there is nothing else you can do. When Rich gets a moment to breath then maybe just maybe he will smack the feind! :)
 
I hate conflicts (unless it's like a friendly debate or something) so I can't talk to the person.
I don't want to bother Rich with something so trivial especially during his busy season.
I guess the only option is for me to ignore the annoying posts and posters.
 
I didn't read any of the offending posts, but unless they violate the rules of this site, I'd ignore them. What seems pointless to you may make perfect sense to the poster. They may feel the same way about your posts. Honest debate (good), judgement of others posts (bad). IMHO

P.S. if you feel the offending posts violate the rules of this site, report them to the webmaster.

I also get annoyed at posts like that! Lol. Glad I'm not the only one.

But seriously, at least one of the annoying posters has been warned numerous times at "that other forum" to stop with the sensless posts and they never did. That person's posts stopped there shortly after they started here. I'm surprised that it took them this long to find this forum.

You will find also that all annoying posters on every message board on the net will also never take your advice and will ask the same questions over and over without searching to see if the same question has been asked before as well. These basic rules apply to all annoying posters on every message board on the internet I think. Lol. There always seem to be a few on every board! ;)

Guess we just have to ignore :) .
 
Gang...viper101 is in the 7th grade. I think the right response is to offer guidance in using a forum like this...and the posts I've read from viper101 have not been obnoxious or disrespectful, just a bit misplaced.
 
I'm not accusing anyone, just thought it was funny and relavent to the discussion....

Ya know..... I think he doesn't know better. Viper101 is my age, I'm not stupid or annoying. He isn't either. He probably doesn't mean to do that. Remember, he CAN come and read this and report YOU for talking behind someone's back where anyone can read it. No offence.
