Reptariums

Reptariums, the kind made out of nylon netting? I've looked at them and did not trust the zipper to hold a snake. I've had too many escapes. About the only way I could think of to hold the warm air was to put the reptarium inside a plastic or plywood box. Which makes the reptarium superfluous. So I don't think they would be satisfactory for snakes.

I used one for a couple years. It served its purpose. In hindsight I would recommend it only for arboreal reptiles, not Cornsnakes. I had a few escapes, always from areas were the zipper would kink and leave an open spot that I didnt detect. The mesh doesnt hold heat or humidity worth anything and your reptiles are less visible. (Like watching a hockey game through the protective netting) The main reason I ditched it for some nicer reptile cages was the fact that the snakes always would go underneath the plastic on the bottom and crap. I was attracted by the fact that it had alot of space for cheap. You get what you pay for though.
