Hi! :) I'm going to an expo tomorrow, and I'm bringing a novelty with me. I got this idea from a dog therapy group that was volunteering at a service project that I was volunteering at. Animal trading cards! It's a little card with pictures and descriptions of the pets. If dogs can do it, why not reptiles? :3 :idea: So I scanned in two of the cards and I'm using them as a template to make one for Lorenzo. I'll print out a stack of them and take them with me so I can give one to everyone I meet at the expo. The idea is that you exchange them with people you meet so you can remember all the people you met and snakes you talked about. :bird: So, I'm making a thread to see if anyone else is on board and wants to make one for one of their snakes. :D

And here's two templates! You can edit these however you want, remove/add textboxes, whatever you like. Another thing, if you open it in paint you can select it and place it on top of your image instead of trying to perfectly crop your picture to fit the boxes.

And here is Lorenzo's cards! I'm printing out the first one now, the second one is just an example

And lastly, copy it into a printing sheet. I'm using Print Master so I can't post it. I'm having to print out both sides, cut out the cards and glue them together because the double sided printing is broken, it's impossible to line it up right. Yours may work, so you can try to mess with that.

So, what do you think? Could this be a new thing? :shrugs: I'm doing it regardless, but it'd be cool if it caught on. :laugh:
 
That's pretty nifty! I can definitely seeing that as having a future for breeders who want to give a little personalized card with the snakes they sell. I might have to kidnap the template idea from you with a bit of personalization on my end. Lol

Too cool! Would it be possible for people to post their completed ones? I know Allidraggy would LOVE having a deck of specific, named snakes and the different colors/morphs of corn snakes. I found the "Deck of Snakes" that is published for the Boy Scouts, which go through some of the different snake species, but it's definitely skewed towards the more deadly varieties.

I think this is so cool. I collect baseball cards...so this really appeals to me. It could also help me with learning all the different morphs...especially since I am a visual learner. Great idea...I'm going to play around with making some today :)
