I can't remember where but I swear we had a discussion about the necessity of vitamine suppliments around here and I kept thinking to myself "nah, Rich can't be right, my corns don't need vitamines"
Well, I was wrong, I went to my local breeder today to sell off the rest of my summer stock and he practically reiterated what you said verbatum...
to add to that, my local breeder stated just recently someone in the area who had a GTP surpised his breeder with a second clutch (which I guess is extremely rare), and no vitamines were involved or given and the jaw of the GTP actually disintegrated so much from calcuim loss going toward the production of the second clutch that they had to put the snake down.
My corn triple clutched this year (19, 19, 15 [last one all slugs])and I assumed that if I pounded her with mice she would be ok, but I'm not taking any chances.
What vitamines do you suggest? I bought what my breeder uses.
I'm sorry I ever doubted you subconsciously.
My breeder also gave me some really awesome tips on feeding stubborn eaters:
-mouse tails w/vitamines,
-mouse tails with olive oil on end
-twisting tail as it goes down to induce feeding
Can you give any addition information on brands of vitamines you found work best and how to apply/how much you use?
YOU DA MAN!
Thanks!
