please provide thought on using rope lighting as a primary source of heating for rack systems

any input would be appreciated

Does rope lighting put out enough heat to heat a rack? I wouldn't think so, but I haven't tried it. My bro-in-law had some light rope he used to light his rack, didn't put out much heat though. Better off using heat cable or heat tape I would think.
