Running zebra-tail video

My wife found this while looking for some bipedal locomotion simulations. It's cool. I especially like the last bit where the lizard puts it into high gear and completely stops using its front limbs.

That is so cool! I can't imagine having one of those as a pet. Can you imagine if it got out of it's viv and ran around the house? :laugh:

That is really neat! You can see the progression when it starts running bipedal, almost like the lizard starts to "float".

I know! You see some humans who have that float-y gait, but not me. I look more like when a gopher tortoise runs. Like an animal that isn't _meant_ to run.

Me too. Last time I ran in front of someone who hadn't seen me run, they laughed at me. :nope:

Yep, I too have no 'floaty gait' at all! What I do get to experience now is the total thrill when Merlin goes up the gears into canter, sheer heaven in motion! (And I nearly fainted the first time we galloped)
