Sad realization...

Kaa loves his mansion...he has daily adventures that are quite entertaining to watch...Kaa is a baby...I'm goin to have to completely remodel his home when he gets bigger...he won't be able to crawl all over his fountain as he does now, he won't be able to fit in his cave, and he won't be able to fit into his favorite hidey spot under his branch...poor poor little critter!

Well, yes.... but he won't grow so quickly that you won't be able to redesign his viv in time for him to find new favourite places to curl up. And, it will be very rewarding for you to see him grow and develop into an adult. Life is all about change, take lots of pictures now so you can look back at them in a year and coo.

I know what you mean - when I got my little guy/girl I put two coconut shell hides in and he/she loves them - I noticed a couple of days ago she is now too big to put her head through the hole in the roof, and pretty soon she isn't going to fit them at all ...

But just think of the fun you will have redesigning the bigger 'mansion'

I've had the same sad realization myself! Pangaea is already too big for one of his hides. When I see him slithering around at night I think to myself, "he needs more room to explore!" I know 20 gallons supposedly suffices for a full grown corn snake, but I just can't envision that. He already looks like he takes up the entire thing.

I've decided when the time comes, I'm asking for a really nice and BIG viv for a birthday present. I've found some online that are just beautiful.

Oh man i don't even wanna think about a bigger viv! This was supposed to be a pet for my kid something simple and easy....no one informed me it was more like a hobby! Now Kaa is my hobby and not at all simple. I wanted a turtle, now i'm hooked. And I want more just cause I like the colors! But I will refrain :)

whatever you do, NEVER go on a forum that has more reptiles than only corns. If you do you'll probably end up like me and find yourself researching multiple types of reptiles because you're thinking about getting them
