I've got a wonderful looking decoration for my viv that's like tree roots, but it has a hole in the top I don't want my snake to go in to. Has anyone used anything like silicone sealant and is this safe? I know snakes don't go around chewing anything they come across so I'm guessing it will be OK.

Thanks

Congrats on noticing the little hole! There have be instances of 'lost' snakes but later found within a hide or decoration. Snakes love little holes or a crack that looks like a good escape route!

I spent almost three hours looking all over my house for one of my snakes, all the while crying my eyes out and it turned out she was just VERY well hidden amongst some greenery in her tank, she is orange and red too so you'd think I would have seen her lol
