Buy an ad. I really surprised that this practice has been allowed. Gilaproductions buys banner ads, so do other reptile show promoters; folks that advertise to sell snakes are contributing members; yet, these ads seem to continuously pop-up in chit-chat as a way to skirt around the requirements.

Don't get me wrong, I attend most shows in North Carolina and some in South Carolina and Virginia, so I am the first who wishes to be informed about an upcoming show.

In my opinion, this ad and others to follow should be deleted. It's one thing to ask if someone is going to a show, or if someone has attended a certain type of show, or even to announce a show--such as, "There's a show coming up in June in SC."--But this is a blatant form of advertising.

But then again, maybe Rich is okay with it, and he's the boss.

No disrespect to you Danvega but Repticon does buy banner ad space for every show. Just because you do not see it does not mean it is not there. I will however say that most of the ads are run on FaunaClassifieds.

We have posted these shows in the proper forum and never had a problem with doing so.

Sincerely,
Cathy

Some pics from the recent show...

Here are some pics of the recent reptile show I did.

This is part of my educational collection that I bring to various shows as well as birthday parties, church events, scouts functions, etc...

The first few are of the cornsnake part. I let kids pull corns out of a pillow case and then hold them while I talk about why corns are such great pets. I briefly talk about cornsnake care as well as CB versus WC (in South Carolina there are a lot of WC corns). I even talk a tiny bit about genetics....anery + amel does not equal snow! ;) Anery + Amel = normal double het and THEN you get the snow.

Enjoy!
