Scale rot or injury?

Also that white stuff was urate if it didn't smell. Snakes don't exactly pee in the same way we do, they excrete their waste in a mostly solid form which is usually white or yellow. Next time your snake uses the bathroom you'll probably be able to see it. If it smells bad then it's musk, but you will be able to know for sure if that's the case!!
 
Yea but she's never done that before. It was a tiny little dot, and didn't look at all like urate. It was kind of gooy, like frosting or something (only not as tasty looking as frosting! ;) ) Not really concerned, just curious.

I wonder why I never really noticed the line down her belly. Hmm.
 
Nina is doing a lot better. She just shed on Thursday, all in one piece. She has no mre signs of scale rot, so tonight she is going back on aspen. I'm sure she will be excited to be able to burrow again. :)
 
Great news! Thanks for letting us know. Plus now you know at least one Corn Snake wrinkle that a) you can recognise if it happens again and b) you can deal with.
 
Yea I'm pretty happy :) She loves being back on aspen. I woke up this morning and her viv was filled with tunnels.
