Ok..
I got a ton of stuff today. My snake should be arriving on Tuesday or Wednesday.
It's a 30 gallon tank, aspen substrate, tons of plants, three hides, some branches to climb, a driftwood that could serve as a branch OR hide, a waterdish, digital thermometer, and UTH.
I'm having a bit of an issue with the UTH. It brings the temp in there up to 81, which I know is a little low b/c my room is at 78 (I like it warm)...
How can I raise the temperature just a liiiiiiiiiiiiittttle bit?
Is there some type of light I can throw on top? The tank is a bit dark, but would a light make the temp too high?

Actually, 81 is fine for corn snakes. Where are you measuring your temps? If your room is 78, then you should have no problem getting the temps up to 82 or 83. Put your probe directly on the glass under the substrate, and you may find that your temps are higher than you think they are.
