hey everyone, new here :)
just had a quick question on my cornsnakes setup. im yet to get my snake but its gonna be a baby and was just wondering on what the absolute basic setup could be? i was thinking sterilite tub, aspen bedding, 2 hides, uth, and water.
what size sterilite tub would i need for a baby snake?
any ideas or suggestions would be great :)

You will need a thermostat to control your uth- its an absolute necessity!! Otherwise the little guy will overheat:( I use large kk's or shoe box size tubs:)
 
Also, If you want something that is easy to clean and keep clean, you couls swap the aspen bedding for paper towels. That makes life easy!
 
I believe balls require more humidity than corns, but I don't own balls so I cannot be 100% sure :p But other than that, I don't think there is much husbandry difference between the two snakes. Good luck with your choice! Personally I vote corn :D;) hehehe
 
They have similar set up requirements and if you use steralite tubs, instead of a tank or viv, that should be enough humidity. Since you are getting a baby, the smaller steralite tubs are better. I would start off with a 15qt steralite tub and use a soldering iron to burn small holes in the top and sides. These are relatively inexpensive and you can easily move up to larger sizes as the snake grows.

Also, follow danielle's advice, and use a thermostat to control the temps of the UTH. Use plenty of hides and have fun with it.
