i plan to breen my corn in a few years when its ready but i was curious to know how old before i can have it probed. and is there another way to tell without having it probed?
 
I don't know how it has to be before it gets probed, nor how young it has to be to get popped, witch is another sexing tecnique.
 
It's so difficult to tell from pics. One angle it looks female to me, another angle and I'm not so sure. Popping is usually done within the first few months. Probing can be done at any time by a qualified individual. I would not recommend letting just anyone probe a snake, and I would suggest waiting until it's a year old to have it probed, unless you know someone very good at it.

I agree, Please do not try and probe the snake yourself, you could hurt the snake.
