I had a dream the other night that this year, I got anerys and tessaras from crossing my het-amel normal female and amel motley male (both classroom pets). Doesn't seem genetically possible, although I don't know what hets the male carries or what else the female may have (I only knew she had an amel parent for sure when I bought her as a hatchling--12 years ago this summer!).
While I know we're almost certainly going to get just the nicely colored classics and amels we produced last year, the dream got me curious about OTHER people's stories. What surprises have you had crossing pairs you've bred before? The seemingly out of nowhere hatchling that looks nothing like its siblings from past years?
Thanks! And pix would be nice, of course.
