Shed Cycle Change

My snake is female and about a year and a half old. She usually sheds about every 2-2.5 months. Around a week ago she shed, and now she is already in blue again. Is this normal for her to already be shedding again? I assumed it was some kind of "coming of age" thing, but i wasnt sure.

Thanks

Snakes shed as they need to.

What constitutes a Need? Growth, skin injuries, parasites, illness.

Not saying anything is wrong with your snake, while it's pretty common for newly hatched young snakes to shed frequently, I think I'd be a bit concerned about an older snake shedding twice in just 2 weeks.

Has your snake ever been paired with a male?

I only ask because what you described sounds like a snake that might be gravid.

It's definitely not "normal" for her to shed twice in 2 weeks! I would definitely be concerned.

The only time she has ever had the possibility to be with a male, would have been in the local pet store a year ago. So i assume she isnt gravid... What should I do? shes not cut or anything, also she has no way to have been introduced to any diseases.

Not sure if there is anything you can do but watch her. Was her last shed complete? Also, how do you know for sure she is ready to shed again? (I see you mentioned she is "blue again," but are you sure?). Has anything else changed in your snake's behavior or enclosure? Are the temps consistent and at the appropriate variance between two sides of her viv?

While shedding multiple times in such a short time frame usually means illness or injury, if it's not something apparent, first check your husbandry and then all you can do for now is observe. Unless there's something I'm also missing? (Anything is possible!)
