Shed, eating and gravid?

I have a corn that is suppose to be gravid. She just shed yesterday. I was feeding everyone else and had an extra rat and decided to offer her one small one. She nailed it faster than I could blink. Is this ok? Do you think she is not gravid because she ate? I have lost my camera so I cant shoot photos. Thanks
 
most female corns I've seen continue feeding up until just a couple weeks before they lay eggs, though it is kind of unusual for her to be gravid this time of year in the northern hemisphere.
 
Most of my females will go off their food for a couple of weeks before laying, but I do have one that eats right up to the day before laying if given the opportunity.

I wouldn't rule out being gravid just because she's eating. Although as Dave said, it does seem a bit late in the season, it's not unknown - I once had a new arrival lay in November, three weeks after I got her.

Pop a laying box in with her anyway. That may have been a pre-lay shed, so you never know your luck!
 
Still no eggs. I am wondering if she is really gravid.

Does seem increasingly unlikely as it gets later in the year.

Did you put her with a male yourself, or did she arrive with you recently having been mated by a previous owner?

Do you know when she was last with a male?

If you place her on the floor, and encourage her to crawl forward, you can put your index and middle finger under her, and use your thumb to press gently down on her. If she is gravid, you should be able to feel the eggs, if there are any, as she crawls forward. If she is relaxed. If her muscles are tight it's difficult to feel anything.
