Shedding on me!

Well, today was Trip To All the Pet Stores Day, to get food for all the animals. We decided to bring my corn Ashoka with us, since she is so calm and loves to go places. She loves people. Well our last stop was PetSmart, and while we were getting feeder fish for my turtle, she started rubbing her nose viciously on my hand, pushing as hard as she could. I was like "What tha heck are you doing? You BETTER not start shedding on me." And sure enough, within a couple of seconds she had started shedding. It was so cool! I have never seen a snake shed before. I didn't even know she had gone into blue! She has been on a feeding strike, so I didn't take her out last week to try and feed her. Whenever I go in to change her water she is hiding. So anyway, when we were checking out the lady was asking me a whole bunch of questions, and she even asked to hold her. I said sure, but I only let her for a second, because I didn't want Ashoka to be uncomfortable while trying to shed. But I promised to bring her back next time so she could hold her longer. On the way home she finished shedding in her travel box, a nice complete shed. Just thought I would share this, because it was so neat to see for the first time one of my snakes shedding!

Yea it was pretty neat. I was wearing a camo shirt kind of similar in color to her, and the fish guy (who was helping us for like 15 mins) didn't even notice her until I got excited because she was shedding. Haha. Then he was asking me a lot of questions because he wants to get a snake too.

I've only gotten to see the tail end of my snakes shedding, and I've certainly never held them while they were doing it. That is so cool!

I was excited and worried at the same time. I wanted to hurry up in the store so she wouldn't get stressed and have a bad shed, but I also wanted to watch her shedding! Sadly I couldn't watch her shed all the way because I had to drive. And the other day I saw my amel shedding, but only the tip of her tail. Saw my first 2 sheds in a matter of 2 weeks.
