Shedding question

So I got my corn about 2 weeks ago from a family who didn't care for it the best...They fed it weekly and a couple of days after I got it, it showed signs that its going to shed (skin had a weird shade of blue and eyes kinda white)... so based on what I read I held off on feeding until it sheds.Well, it has not shed yet so I still haven't fed it... its been about 16 days since it ate.
It showed full cloudy- white eyes about a week and a half ago and now he looks normal again for the last 5 days but he hasn't shed yet?
Is this normal?
Is he going to shed soon?
And HOW long can he go without food!?!?

As far as behavior he has been in his hide log for the most part, not moving much and been hissy when I look at him...Thanks

If he has gone that long without eating, I would probably feed him. And yet, it is normal for it to look normal right after the shedding signs. This means that he is about to shed. However, I do not know why it is taking him so long to shed. Possibly unhealthy? And the skin is NOT supposed to change color. It is only supposed to start looking kind of faded and whitish. The eyes should look a milky blue or white. If this is not what he looks like, I would take him to the vet.

Now about his behavior. It is completely normal for snakes to act like that when they are about to shed. They get moody and may hiss.

I wish the best of luck to you and your snake!

Different coloured snakes do look different while in shed! Some snakes change hues briefly, some go cloudy or dull all over, some their bellies change.
I personally would wait for the shed; I think it's coming! Depending on the age and growth rate of the snake, it could take longer or shorter for it to shed.
Also, OP you didn't really describe anything particularly that suggests poor care from the previous owner (not to say that's not true, but you just didn't mention anything specific) so I wouldn't rush off to the vet yet.

You can try feeding if you'd like (if it's not a hatchling still, that is). Hatchlings have a higher chance of a regurge while in shed because their skin will not be able to stretch to accommodate the prey item.
I feed mine in shed, and she's only refused food once. You can try it and see if s/he'll eat if you'd like. Otherwise, feed a day after s/he sheds.

Good luck :)

Actually they shed as a sign of affection towards you, they have brains like us and want to be able to give us a costume for Halloween you could be a mummy or you could use them as decorations, but if you don't the snake will be highly offended and most likely will eat you and definitely if you throw it out.. AND NOW YOURE GOING TO DIE DA DA DA DA DA.... ITS A SONG.

Depending on how old it is, 16 days might not be too long without food. To an adult corn, that would be like skipping breakfast. If it's a baby, then yeah you should try to get it fed. Most likely "bad" scenario is, it refuses to eat.

As for the shedding, iirc it can take 3-7 days *after clearing from blue* before they finally decide to peel that suit off. Some do it sooner, some do it later but if it's only been a business week I personally wouldn't be too alarmed. Just keep checking.

Also, you said it's been cleared up for the last 5 days or so? Possible you missed the shed buried in the substrate somewhere and it's already completed the cycle? I know I would have totally missed little Plissken's first shed if I hadn't gone in to spot clean and re-arrange a little bit and noticed it buried in the aspen under his hide.
