My cornsnake is about 2 1/2 months old. I have had him a little over 2 weeks and have fed him 3 times. My question is how often will he shed?

The concise (or perhaps "smart-aleck" is more accurate) answer is "as often as he needs to". Our hatchlings tend to shed about once a month-ish. It slows down as they grow.

3 sheds in 2 weeks is quite a lot, so he must be growing like a champ! Mine average once or twice a month.

They gradually slow down as they get older - they never stop, but my fully-grown adults ony shed three or four times a year.

About how long does it take snakes to shed? Mine has been in shed for four days now.

They go all hazy, and that lasts exactly a few days. Then the haze goes away, and precisely a few more days after that, they shed. All in all, a week-ish, give or take. Plus or minus. Kinda. More or less. Approximately. :grin01:

Hahah okay. My snake was looking pale on Saturday, his eyes went cloudy Sunday, and then they cleared up so it should be soon that he sheds, right?

Yup. (Hmm... "yup" is too short... it wants ten characters... what else should I say?)

Hopefully by Thursday because the Herpetology Club I'm part of is setting up a table outside for people to come check out some reptiles and I want to bring Drake ^_^

mine both take approx one week from the time I notice them going into blue until I find a nice skin and shiny snake in the vivs. Of course I cant help but obsess and check on them every morning.
