hi
my baby corn snake is shedding as i write this message, i was just wondering how long after he's shed can i handle and feed him?

You can feed him streight away after he has shed, there feed response seems to be strongest after shedding.
But then don't handle him for 24-48 hours or until the swelling in his stomach has gone down.

he seems to be having a bit of difficulty getting it off he's about halfway now, does it usually take quite a long time? is it best to bathe them b4 a shed?
 
Shouldn't need to I never do. Somtimes they do take a few mins. If it is coming off alright in one peace leave it alone.
 
its got about halfway and then the skins broken off so does it need a hand or somethin? he's been at it for about 30mins now
 
leave it a little while. If it's still not off, gently let it crawl through you fingers giving a little pressure see if the skin comes off that way.
 
well i got him out a minute ago and tried doing what you said but it didnt seem to work. doesnt it cut off the circulation or something if the old skin stays on to long? maybe i should by him a little bath tub and a brush to scrub his back! what do you think?
have i bought the stupidest snake in the world or what? hehe
