shedding

Hi there!
I think my snake cinnamon is going to shed. His eyes have gone pale blue and his scales are sort of faded. Should I just leave him to it or will he need anything?
should i offer any food before he sheds?
Thankx, Rhiannon

Nope, just leave him be. His eyes will go clear in a day or so and he will probably shed 3-7 days after this. It is best not to handle them because a) they cant see well in blue eye stage and get frightened easily and b) it can cause them to have a bad shed. Most snakes go off their food during a shed so just leave him to it :) HTH, Rachel
ps yes you can handle him afterwards!
