Shermy sheds and sups (with cool eyecaps)

When my wife (snoopysnake) and I were feeding our snakes on August 7, she noticed right after she gave Shermy his mouse, that he'd begun to shed! I had put him into his "restaurant" but I'm not sure of the exact moment when the shedding began. We didn't think he'd eat the mouse once we noticed his "second face" in back of his neck but he took it right away, so we let him eat and then put in a paper towel and coconut hide to help him finish shedding. Of course, we watched with great excitement and I took plenty of photos. The best are below, see more here

Isn't it fun to watch them? I only saw it happen once, and it was clear that by the time I retrieved the camera it would be over, so I just watched. How cool that you were able to photograph yours. Is it ok to touch them right after a shed? I'm always afraid they're too sensitive.

Nice pretty skin after his shed!

Thanks - I was hoping my husband could get a good picture of the last bit of skin "poinging" off the tail, but Shermy had crawled under the paper towel and it wasn't in plain sight.

We've got 2 of our other snakes about to shed this week - I wonder if anyone gets to see two snakes shedding at the same time?

Cool pics!

I've seen two of my snakes shed within an hour of each other, but never two at the same time, if it happens with yours, you must get more pics :)
