Sienna, Trogdor & Melony
So, remember how we got a little amel with Trogdor, and a friend of ours was going to take her? Well...you knew we wouldn't be able to give her up. Turns out that Jeff has indeed become quite attached to the little sweetheart and has decided we should keep her despite his original "only TWO snakes" rule. So the little amel (we're still calling her Amelly until Jeff gives her a better name) is now Jeff's snake. He's so cute with her, he takes her out and snuggles her, and he's so proud of her. It's quite adorable.

Anyway you were all right when you knew he wouldn't be able to let her go. Just thought I'd share our exciting news. (Now we can have opal babies in a few years!!!)

What happened to only two....

HA HA HA HA HA! :grin01: What a suprise.....NOT! :grin01:

I am secretly planning on another if I can figure out how to pull it off. My wife was not thrilled with one, but my rationalization will be that Tigger is my sons- I want one, too! He He He I can see how one's collection of corns can grow, quickly.

I know....

Haha, yes. I guess the only ones this came as a surprise to was us. We do love her though. However, our apartment is beginning to resemble a zoo!

oldhand and thelyonsking: good luck on your new [possible] additions. What kind will you be getting oldhand?

Now you'll have to update the names above your avatar (if there is room :grin01: ).

Yeah, we started with an 'only two snakes' rule which was broken a few months later and now we're (meaning I- my boyfriend claims he has nothing to do with this mania!) up to 8 lovely snakes and 2 extras which are on a breeding loan from a friend...then there'll be the hatchlings to contend with in a couple of months...hehehe -all part of my grand scheme!!!!

She is a real cutie...but like others have said it will be a big surprise if you stop at the ones you have....visiting these forums and seeing all the GORGEOUS pics...you just keep seeing "one more" that you want...pretty soon you have 40 or 50 and just can't seem to stop wanting just that one more....LOL :)

Sparda knows what she's talking about. She just yesterday picked up a few new additions from me at a show. [ :-offtopic By the way Paula, it was very nice to meet you in person finally]

It was nice finally meeting you also...Let me add that you have some VERY nice corns...and if I would have had some more cash to spend I would have taken home a few more...(especially if you would have let that male go..LOL)

Now I think that I will have to show everyone how nice the ones I got from you are...time for pics...

Busted! I thought I had caught everything (signature and all) thanks for "setting me straight," lol.

And Sparda (and princess), I know, I will be surprised if we stop at 3 also. Right now we are swearing we aren't keeping any hatchlings we produce down the road, but I already see "that look" in Jeff's eye when he mentions that. So I know we will end up keeping some of them. (He is the one who controls the number of snakes we have, I would just fill the house up if he let me). *laughing* Anyway, for now its just these three.

I'm tickled for you Katie! She is a cutie, and now you've got an excuse! I'm so jealous of the reptile shows going on back east... The closest one to me I can find is in Sacramento but not until July. *sigh* But...we're going! If anyone happens to know of one sooner...please give me a holler!

I'm so glad you're keeping her. They grow on you that's for sure, and she's beautiful to boot. Congrats!! Post some pictures of her with "dad".

I'm so lucky to have a husband as snake-crazy as I am. He wants to fill the house with snakes just as badly as me! The breeding is my job, tho, he's happy to keep bringing new ones home. We got four at a show this past weekend (makes it 21 now) and one corn is ready to lay any day. I figure its easier and cheaper to make our own! :)

Hehe, thanks guys! Everyone seemed to know she wasn't getting away from us, I guess we should have just started out planning on it. Silly us.

I'll be sure to post some pics of Amelly and her doting "dad" as soon as she can come out and play tomorrow evening. :)
