As some people on this site have asked for my hatchlings, im thinking that I/my mom might get a shipping licence. I've clled fed e, and the person i talked to said they do not ship reptiles or offer the licence to ship them that I know many others here have. So how'd you guys get certified????

Open an account online and ask that a rep contact you. Tell your rep. that you want to ship live harmless reptiles from business to business. Your rep. will help you through the rest.

You can open the account and skip the rep. They take way too long to get back to you. Prepare a test package and send it in with the appropriate paperwork. Once your package is approved your rep will need to send you the correct paperwork. The guys over at the package test center are very helpful and can make sure that your rep gets back to you. I am pretty sure there is a link to the paperwork somewhere on this forum but if you can't find it doing a search just pm me and I will email it to you when I am at the correct computer!

I guess I'm lucky....my rep calls me all the time just to see how things are going.....:shrugs:.

I had heard disaster stories about how long it took some reps to get back to people so I went ahead and shipped my test box off and the whole process took me under a month. In the end the person who I was told was my rep by the 800 number wasn't even a rep! The guys at the package testing center told me who my rep was and when she did not get back to me after about a week (I think) they contacted her. I ship so little that I can't really blame her. My rep was very pleasant and curious in the end but I really can't fault her for not spending too much time on someone who ships under 50 packages a year!
