Should I introduce my future breeders to themselves

Well Im planning on breeding them this spring and I was wondering if there would be more chances of them going at it if I let them introduce themselves in the same tank for 12-24 hours. I tried searching but wasnt quite sure what to search (Im sure my question has been answered already).
Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean introduce them before you brumate them/well before you breed them?

If so I would think its best just to introduce them in spring when you actually want them to breed.

Yeah that what I ment, I figured that way in the spring time when its time to breed they will already know eachother and there would be better chances of getting them to breed but Im probably wrong...I guess its 100% instinct

It might help if you take a picture of each of them and hang it in the other's cage till they are ready to breed. :sidestep:

Seriously, (I'm sorry- I couldn't help myself) I just read something interesting which had to do with introducing the snakes to each other when you want them to mate- it said to put the female in the male's viv so he would be able to find her easier (by smell) than if he was placed in her viv where the whole area had her scent. I never would have considered that.

Yep, it's pretty much instinct. No introductions, no dates, no movies, no jewelry to purchase.

Lucky guys.

Yeah, one can only go to the well so often before it dries up.

I've still got a few "fun underwear" jokes to go, though.
