Show off your vivarium

I love the pond idea w/bridge. I was planning on doing something similar to maintain a bit more humidity in my viv.
Do you mind sharing how you built it? What your using for a pump and if you've had any issues with a DIY project like that? It looks so nice, you have a lucky cornsnake :)

That's a cool pond, nice set up

thank you

Sure,... well aside from the obvious cleaning and prepping of the tank, its much more easier than it looks, heres a short step by step:

~I went to my local hardware store (Home Depot) and bought a sheet of 1/4" thick plexi that was about 18" tall and 24" long

~I measured the width of my tank to be about a little over 12" wide and used a plastic cutter knife (also bought at home deopt for about $4.00) to cut the 2 side pieces for the pond

~I wanted the bridge to sit on top of the plexi glass so i measured the gap of the bridge to be about 4" and placed the 2 sides of the plexi 4" apart and used silicone and some craft rocks (bought from the dollar store) as support and to seal the water in

~I then sat the bridge on top the plexi and filled the tank with substrate and the pond with water (I am using a small repti-filter to filter the water) i also have a uth under the pond to keep the water warm for when she wants to go swimming

thanks for the interest I will have updated pics by the end of the day, feel free to ask any questions

Here's Severus's new home (29 gallon)! Moved him out of his 10 gallon and into this last night. Got the tank from Pet Supplies Plus during their $1/gallon tank sale. Already know I'll want to go bigger in the future, but he definitely has more space for a while now. He's 8 months old. :)

New home.

What type of light source do you guys use for glass tanks? I have a wooden vivs but just curious.

Thanks.

I use a Fluker's clamp lamp with a regular 30 watt incandescent light bulb during the day and a Zoo-med 60 watt red bulb for nighttime viewing. And no worries, I have a UTH with a thermostat. I know they don't require overhead light/heat, but I'm convinced he enjoys hanging out and basking on his tree or hammock and as well. :)

I must admit the red bulb looks great!

This is my viv for my classic corn. The tank is in my hallway so can't get any front/face on pictures. Sorry the light isn't brilliant.

Its a 20 gal so I filled it up with a bunch of stuff to make it seem smaller Ceasar loves climbing the fake leaves and that rock is his favorite hide (I know this because I switch it to the cold side and temps dropped down to about 60 degrees and he still chose to rest in there.... so i moved it back to the warm side)

We've only had these set up since Saturday, and have some things coming in the mail today (thermostat, thermometers) so we can get everything regulated so we don't cook our poor babies.
