Shredded Paper Bedding...

DragonBoy

Crazy Cornsnake Breeder
I have had a couple of BAD experiences with aspen shavings this summer and have gone to using nothing more than paper towels for the bottom of my trays in my racks. However with cooler weather coming on I want to give the kids some kind of bedding and am leaning heavily toward shredded paper. Works great for applications on the farm so I am thinking it could work this way as well. Would like to hear what others have to say.
Thanks

It's what I use. I figured since we have a paper shredder at home, might as well use it and save some money. It is easy to just take out the area when they poop, it absorbs liquid fairly easily, isn't all dusty like some of the bedding you get, and it fluffs up so they can burrow into it. Mine have never seemed to have a problem with it. Just make sure you remove any staples :)
