Sigh...snakes together!

Rachel

Vet nurse in training!
Sigh....doing a vet nursing shift at Glasgow Vet School just now and went over to the exotic house only to find the 'expert' keeping 3 corns together, iggys in pretty small vivs and not having the first clue in general. When asked if she kept reptiles herself, she said 'no and I don't understand why anyone would want to keep a snake as a pet'. She also told us how her favourite corn is a black one with tiny bits of bright red???? Is this some new morph? She told me I would probably never of heard of it beacause it is very rare. Hmmm ok. I asked her what this black and red cultivar was called. Apparantly it's called a 'cornsnake'. I'll leave it at that...

Wow! what kind of interview did she have for her job????
Is she the bosses daughter or wife???
Cant see any other reason for her to be there........ :shrugs:

I can think of a few other reasons for her to be there, but none of them are very tasteful.

Has anyone (in high places) noticed that your 'expert' doesn't have a clue?

Rachel,
Hahahaha. That's funny, I've had that experience before too. Some fair we went to. The guy was letting people take picture with the snakes and stuff. He had a milksnake with him (I believe it was a Nelson's) and I asked him what kind of snake it was to add in my condsideration of snakes to get. He just told me it was a banded (pattern) snake and that's what they called them. I was like "Ok......."

Not sure how she got the job (or a few other people employed here!) but I think she's related to one of the higher up members of staff. Typical! Thing is, even the vet says to keep the snakes together and I don't want to push it too far by telling him how to do his job so am feeling a bit frustrated and fed up at the moment. Grr! :shrugs:

Perhaps you could hide one of the snakes and say the other "ate" it. That'd be a reality check! Funny, too... :p
