SilverQueen - Hypo Ghost Corns

Hi there,

I would like to know the defintion of the particular ghost morphs.

I live in the UK England and we have a morph called the 'Hypo Ghost'

I am not sure exactly how it came about. I have looked at the Silverqueen ghosts and they do not look the same. They are similar in colour to the silverqueens, but their saddles look like they are vanishing. Basically like an extreme hypo, lacking all black and even partial pattern.

Also, I see the term Pastel Ghost, generally with motley. We have a whole bunch of em which I would say are the pastel colouration. I believe that the motley pattern affects the colour, making is look pastel, hence the name Pastel Motley. Is this correct???

Any help would be fantastic!!

Cheers

"Hypo Ghost"? Isn't that sort of redundant since a Ghost is a Hypomelanistic 'A' Anerythristic? So, in effect, these are being called Hypo Hypo Anerythristics. Of course, with the number of Hypo genes floating around, this might just be the beginning of that sort of naming convention. Hypo Sunkists, anyone??

I suppose when you think about it, the ghost is already a hypo anery. So a hypo ghost, in effect is a double hypo anery?

I am still trying to find out exactly what they are, but as all of them are very similar I do not think they are the same as your silverqueens.

Is there any way of breeding an 'even more' hypo ish snake to the ghost to perfect this morph into these hypo ghosts we have??

I bought them off Dave Appleton in England, who has bought most of his corns of you Rich, I believe.

hi,

forget that name. that´s normal here in europe.
they all don´t know what they sell...they chose names 50% by what they think what is right and 50% by a cool sound.
the next one who buys these snakes uses this wrong name for the rest of his live and isn´t interested in renaming the snakes because : " i bought them as xxx so so they are xxx"
you can see that everywhere....all people here have lavenders and lavender striped and so on...

hmmm...i better stop writing now - this just makes me angry:mad:
