Hi all,

So I finally got a scale, and weighed my pewter male and he is 33gm. Is that a normal size for a yearling?

That is somewhat small. My yearlings range from 45 to 160. I consider my 45g yearling to be small for her age.

yeah that's seems tiny my compared to my 180 gram yearling(born Aug, 2012)..
did you get him from a breeder or petshop?

I got her locally from a girl. She was only feeding him 1pinky a week. She had only had him a couple months... Got him from a breeder? So his history is unknown. She can't remember the name of the breeder either... I wonder if he really is a year??

hmm yeah that does seem odd, maybe my boys just gunna be big??
who knows as long as he's healthy and is growing now he should be fine!

maybe he was the runt?

bahaha! Petri seems like a perfectly suited name for the little fella, is that from the land before time? :)

Yah, he is small and pinkish purple, and my son named him. I think it's a perfect name! My other baby, Venus, that I got from Christen is 9gms. LOL. She is also tiny

yeah, lol they grow pretty fast though! I got him in May 3 weeks after he was born and he's already up to 23 grams!
