I know all of the procedures for retained shed .. but he shed two days ago and I only noticed today that ~1cm of shed is left on his tail, My problem is that I fed him today .. What do you's think .. should I risk a 'gurge and attempt to remove the skin, or leave him overnight with two humid hides and a large water dish in his tank. His tail is beginning to look limp so it's definately on it's way to coming off.

I'm gonna attempt to get it off now but any comments would be appreciated.

Don' t mess with it now. It is not worth the chance of a regurge. It is not gonna cause any damage immediately.

You can try putting in a humid hide.

Then in 3-4 days if that doesn't help, you can take care of the retained shed.
 
Yes, he will be fine.

It hurts when a retained shed is not removed before the next shed. That restricts the growth in that area. Going a few days or even a week is not gonna hurt.

Like I said, a regurge would be much more dangerous.
 
I guess I'd wait the 48 hours, I wouldn't risk a regurge either. Then you can do the wet towel thing. You could put in a moist hide, but I doubt he's going to move from the spot he picked to digest in.
