Skin on Tail

My snake had some leftover skin on her tail from shedding, and I didn't notice it until today. I got all of it off, but her tail is kind of twisted. Will this cause her tail to die or will it go back to normal?

Now her tail has turned a little red on the very end. Is that because of blood flow or should I take her to the vet?

The tip of it will turn black and just die off. It should fall off, but you may have to help get it off. When it does just keep it clean, for infection purpose.

mine is going through the same thing right now, she just gets pissed off when I was trying to make sure it was clean.

I got the inkling that with the blood flow.... it might not die and fall off.
Time will tell.

My pet shop snake had this problem. I got the skin off but the tail was already hard to the touch. Then about a month later it was gone. After it was gone the tail was a little ragged looking and every shed she had for a year I had to help her get the tail tip off. I am happy to say that last month she shed all by herself and I didn't have to help her!

Anyway after that falls off it if falls off you need to check her tail every time she sheds to make sure it all comes off.

This is what her tail looks like a full year later.

Unless I had told you about the tail you may never even notice it.

Here is a close up of the tail. It doesn't look very pretty but it's better than before. I did take her to the vet and they said she would be fine. There is nothing they can do for it. So don't worry yourself about it too much.
