Slight discoloration in scales.... pre-sign of rot?

I have an adult patternless pine snake. We haven't had power since last Saturday due to the snow storm and I have had to move him a smaller tank in an office.

The past couple days, he has spilled his water in the tank, which was soaked up by paper towel .... covering the entire tank bottom. He sat there for a max of 6 hours.

Today, I noticed some discoloration on his scales. I'm not sure if this is from the water-soaked paper towels or something else.

Any ideas?

It COULD be symptoms of rot, but it is more likely just something he got stained on him when he spilled his water, at least that's what I think. Someone may have more experience with this. You can always put a little bit of neosporin (without pain killers) on the spots.
