Slitting eggs?

Theres this one egg that hasn't hatched out of 21. The first pippie was about 3 weeks ago and the other 20 hatched over a course of a couple weeks.

I can see this last snake through the window of the egg but it doesn't seem to be moving. How do I slit open the egg to have a better look?

Well, if it sill looks healthy, I would wait a while longer. But it could be DIE. In the past to slit eggs I've used an xacto knife with success.

slitting the egg is delicate work. Personally i have used a tiny pair of scissors to make a little snip, then introduce the point into the hole and carefully cut a slit....making sure all you cut is shell. if the hatchling IS alive...this should cause some movement....and if you see movement you should stop and leave it alone.

just my two cents.
