Smaug the Bloodred

This is my 11 months old bloodred male, known as Smaug. He was three months old when I got him, and a feisty little devil indeed. Nowadays he's calmed down just a bit. He's also teh hungriest little thing on earth. :eatpointe Just might eat until he explodes if I let him... Better not try.

He hasn't really got the best diffusion in the world in my opinion, but at leats he's a pretty nice colour.

Let's see if the picture works. If not, I'll modify the post.

Yeah, I'm sure it will. Of course I wish he'd become completely patternless but... well, time will show.

Isn't it the other way round (They gain pattern as they age)? :shrugs: Maybe not. I need to get into genetics etc more.

Lovely snake regardless. :)

maybe i'm a little wierd, but i like the bloodreds where you can still see a little bit of the pattern on them. Just makes them look more like a snake than the solid ones to me. :shrugs:

No, they lose patterns as they age. :)

I think that's a very nice blood!! He has fantastic colour and I love his name! lol He has more diffusion than many bloods I have seen and better colour than most. I think he's a nice example! :santa:

I like him! He's a nice deep color, that will only get better! I like the patterned ones, too.

Here's Smaug when I got him, presumably about three months old (I know, the picture's a little sucky):

And here he is now, about 1 year old... About to shed very soon as you can see. I actually really like his colour when he's "in the blue". He's not posing too stylishly, but I didn't want to bother the poor guy too much while he's busy shedding.

I can't wait to see how he looks after shedding. :crazy02:
